The 64th session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD64) will take place from 2 to 10 February 2026 at the UN Headquarters in New York. The Commission is the advisory body responsible for the social development pillar of global development.
Interactive dialogue with senior officials of the UN System on "United for Inclusion: Leveraging the United Nations System for Transformative Social Development"
- Segment 1: Local innovations that reduce poverty and support livelihoods
Panellists will address the following guiding questions in their presentations, focusing on lessons learned and policy recommendations: How will your entity implement the mandates from the Doha Political Declaration? What coordinated and inclusive policy approaches will be prioritized by your entity in support of poverty eradication, decent work, social protection, education, health, gender equality, care and support systems and digital inclusion? How can inter-agency cooperation and system-wide policy coherence on the United Nations' social mandates be strengthened to support Member States more effectively? How will your entity contribute to the Commission's enhanced role in the global follow-up and review process? What data, financing, partnerships or technical support will be essential for advancing social development and social justice across regions?
