Tripartite supervision in action: How the Committee on the Application of Standards has driven change for 100 years.

To mark the centenary of the ILO Conference Committee on the Application of Standards (CAS), this high-level side event brings together representatives of government, employers' and workers' organizations to reflect on 100 years of tripartite supervision in action. Through concrete national experiences and testimonies, speakers will explore how the CAS, as one of the key pillars of the ILO supervisory system, has contributed to advancing social justice , strengthening democratic resilience, and promoting meaningful change in law, policy and practice across the world. The discussion will highlight the unique value of social dialogue and tripartism in supervising the application of international labour standards, and how the CAS has supported countries throughout their journey towards compliance, helping translate international commitments into concrete progress.
